On July 28, 2018 the monument to St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra of Lycia, the Wonderworker was opened in Murmansk. The monument in honor of the patron Saint of seafarers was built by the famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov. The bronze sculpture is installed on the pedestrian stairs in the area of the house ¹ 20 on Vorovsky street. Monument to Nicholas the Wonderworker - only part of a large project. Monuments will also appear in Kaliningrad, Nakhodka and Sevastopol. The monument is a six-meter bronze monument: Nicholas the Wonderworker is in a boat, which beats the ocean wave. In the right hand of the Saint - Cape horn, in the left – a sailing ship. It took more than six tons of bronze. |
