Murmansk regional Palace of Culture named after Kirov was founded on the 7th of November. For over 74 years, “Kirovka”, as it is tenderly called by the citizens of Murmansk, has been playing the role of the real friend for the citizens of the city and the region in general. Big scene of the Palace of culture is the central concert arena; here are organized many of folklore, family and children festivals, gatherings, international vocal, theatrical and choreographic festivals, Christmas balls, parties and many other bright and memorable events. A lot of famous people visited the Palace of culture and gave the joy of interaction to the citizens of Murmansk. Among them there are the following: Yuri Gagarin, Konstantin Simonov, Fidel Castro, Isaak Dunaevsky, Sergey Obraztsov and other famous people from the past century. The Palace of Culture has always been known for its amateur teams. At the moment there are 27 different amateur teams, studios and clubs, living bright creative life in “Kirovka”, and there are over 2 thousand members in them. |
